Esteli Nicaragua
Estelí Nicaragua, officially "Villa de San Antonio de Pavia de Estelí" is a city and municipality within the Estelí department. It is an active commercial center in the north and is known as "the diamond of segovias" Estelí is a city in a cooler region of the country. This region has plenty archaeologically interesting sites. Estelí is located 150 km. from Managua on an altitude of 800 meters above sea level which causes the pleasant climate. Very few visitors to Nicaragua will have heard of Estelí – even though it is the second largest city in the northern half of the country. This pretty little city is a delightful place to visit, though it has very few attractions worth noting. The city itself is the biggest attraction and you will find that the warm smiles and friendly buildings lend the city an undeniable charm. Estelí can be found in the Estelí department and is situated roughly 150 km north of Managua. You can reach it by means of the Pan-American Highway and it makes for a great stop if you are planning to travel the northern regions of Nicaragua.
